Unlike the United States, public education is not free in many regions in Africa such as Accra, Ghana. Many parents are forced to withdraw their children from school after completing primary education because of the high cost of the junior secondary school. Over half of the families in rural Ghana are unable to keep their children in school on a consistent basis. Many of these families must decide between food and education.

Many families in Africa find it not only difficult to pay for the junior secondary school, but also very difficult to
provide the educational supplies needed for their children. Life For Africa supplements these costs by providing
educational supplies. Not only does Africa need educational supplies but there is also a shortage of medical specialists
and medical supplies for the hospitals. Through your generous donations we are able to periodically send educational and medical supplies to Accra, Ghana, West Africa.
